Help and support

Most questions are answered below. For anything else, write to contact@ackplus.com. A person reads every message.

Reach us

  • A date looks wrong. In the app, open Settings, then Report a correction. The report carries the date and how the app computed it, so it can be checked against the panchang you keep. It is anonymous.
  • Feedback or an idea. Settings, then Send feedback. Your name and email are optional; add them if you would like a reply.
  • Anything else. Email contact@ackplus.com. If something is not working, include your phone model and the app version shown in Settings, About the data.

A festival date is different from my panchang

A tithi is counted from sunrise, so the day a festival falls on depends on where you are. First check that Settings, Place is set to where you are, or to the city whose panchang you follow.

Traditions differ too. The app names each month both ways - amanta, as Gujarat and the south count it, and purnimanta, as much of the north does - and some festivals are kept by different rules in different communities. If a date still looks wrong, send a correction from the app.

Does the app need the internet?

No. The panchang is computed on your phone, so the calendar works offline. The app goes online only to download calendar updates and festival artwork, to send a correction or feedback when you choose to, and to open these help pages.

Reminders do not arrive

  • Allow notifications for Tithi Calendar in your phone's settings.
  • On Android, also allow Alarms and reminders, so a reminder arrives at the time you chose rather than whenever the phone next wakes up.
  • If your phone stops apps in the background to save battery, exclude Tithi Calendar from battery optimisation.

Moving to a new phone

Your events stay on your phone and are not backed up by us. On the old phone, open Settings, Export events, and send the export to yourself. On the new phone, install the app and use Settings, Import events.

Changing the language

Open Settings, Language, and choose Gujarati, Hindi or English.

Deleting your data

Everything the app keeps is on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes it. If you sent feedback with your name or email on it, write to contact@ackplus.com and we will delete it. The privacy policy has the details, and the terms and conditions say what the app promises and what it does not.
